Behold the “Post-Itable”
By Christopher Shea
A paperless office sounds nice, in theory, but I’ve long since given up on that ideal, and not just out of laziness: The physical act of writing or sketching seems to exercise creative cognitive muscles that typing and mousing don’t. Recognizing the continuing allure of paper for creative types and office workers—and, specifically, the aesthetic appeal of yellow sticky notes—the Milan-based design firm Soup Studio created the Post-Itable. The name may be ungainly, but the concept is clear and crisp: The entire surface of the desk is one big sticky note. When you’ve filled up one piece of paper, rip it off and you have a fresh one. And when you get to the bottom of the stack you can replace it with a new stack.
